What to see besides Angkor Wat? Very informative tour, we enjoyed every minute. Our tour guide spoke excellent English and explained very well how different products are made. What to see besides Angkor Wat?

Best attractions for kids in Siem Reap. Great experience, you see the whole process, they explain everything to you. You will try lotus seeds and tea and you can buy gifts downstairs. You pay what you want by donation or buy something. (I bought natural silk hair tie for 4$, scarfs are around 30$ and dresses 160-750$). They also have lotus paper goods.

A top attraction in Siem Reap, the lotus silk farm is impressive! You can watch them creating lotus silk from flowers that are grown nearby in the Cambodia countryside. The silk is so soft and the fabric shop has many interesting souvenirs for friends and family. You can visit the textile mill and watch them creating amazing products. This fabric wholesaler and textile exporter is the best in Cambodia. If you are looking for unique and sustainable silk, this is the place to go. Also, the staff is very helpful and so sweet! Highly recommended!

What to do beyond Angkor? Visiting the farm is worth watching. The guide explained various stages of making threads from lotus stem and the uses of lotus roots and seeds. Nicely explained.

To see in Siem Reap. We did the full package for US$35 each. It included a tuktuk ride to a boat trip, flower folding, tasting lotus seeds, extracting fibres, making string, recycled paper and bracelets from the dried seeds. Plus also making incense sticks and a guided tour of the centre explaining the whole not-for-profit purpose and that they employ almost exclusively women. We left with the included lotus wax candle, essential oil and the incense sticks and handmade paper. Wonderful afternoon and would recommend to everyone!

To visit after Angkor. This was such an excellent day. We went out in little motorized canoes onto the lake to see where the lotus flowers grow and the guide made us bouquets from freshly picked flowers. We then saw how the whole process turn the stems to silken thread to cloth and then to beautiful bags and dresses. We had the opportunity to make and decorate wrapping paper, incense sticks and lotus seed bracelets. They are very keen to show off their commitment to sustainability and use of renewable energy. Lovely people.

Favorite experience in Siem Reap. Had an incredible guided tour with Sean after having time to enjoy the lotus tea and lotus seed biscuits on the top floor, as part of the tour. Sean was very knowledgeable and showed us the stages of work involved in producing this incredible, strong, and airy silk. Items are available in the store made from silk produced on the farm and vary in price, with myself buying a more affordable makeup bag made from the silk. Overall, a valuable and relaxing visit I’d recommend anyone in Siem Reap to check out.

Not to be missed! We wanted a break from the temple visits and we read the nice reviews of this place…we were not disappointed! The visit was interesting and informative, the lady who gave us the tour was very nice and knowledgeable 🙂 We did the full workshop which was a lot of fun. Overall we loved the day and we would strongly recommend the experience!
